My Students

The students in my rural elementary school come from diverse backgrounds. Our school is located in a military town and the students we serve fluctuates frequently. They are kind and maintain school pride and integrity in all they do. Their confidence and personality is exactly what this world needs!

These students are dedicated and determined to improve their education.

Our student community is currently rebuilding after Hurricane Florence and have been greatly impacted by this pandemic. Their homes, community and family have really banded together to move forward with everyday life. They are compassionate leaders for tomorrow's future.

My Project

This project is full of items that are lovingly used each year within my classroom. These items help my students communicate their learning through written form and creative expression. Our classroom environment is one that embraces color, order and inspiration. Expo markers allow us to easily erase mistakes as we explore new math content. Colored pencils are used to draw, design and color code notes and pictures that support our learning targets. Penpal pencil biters keep our materials safe so that they are easily found when we are ready to write!

Restocking a classroom is a labor of love.

It helps to shift costs off of parents, schools and teachers. These items set a tone of security within a classroom. Students that have supplies readily available are able to focus on content without the worry of providing supplies. I promise to use these items wisely and help inspire our future one assignment at a time! Thank you for helping us out!
