My Students

As a teacher in a Title I school, I know many of my students come from poverty stricken, low-income homes. Some also are learning English as a second language and others have special needs. All of my students receive free breakfasts and lunches at school. Some of my students live in shelters or motels. Others are living with other families.

Despite these difficult circumstances, my students come to school eager to learn and explore.

They are fascinated with the new activities, opportunities, and experiences that I can provide for them. They have so much love to share with me and with each other. I want to be able to give them every opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed.

My Project

Students go through a lot of materials during the school year. We teach them to be responsible, but they are young and things break no matter how careful they try to be with the materials. Other items we just use a lot and so run out as we go through the school year.

These supplies will help my students stay healthy and learn as we are getting closer to the middle of the school year!

Now that the cold weather has started, we are going through a lot of hand sanatizer. I want our students to not miss school due to illness, so I am requesting more hand sanatizer. We also need additional card stock to make more charts, stations, and activities for the students to continue to learn and grow. I use this tape to put up charts and information on the walls, for students to reference throughout the year.

Please help my students continue to be healthy and have supplies to keep learning.
