My Project

Our students are bright, resilient, and eager to learn, but many face challenges outside of school that make focusing on academics difficult. As a Title I school, a large number of our families experience food insecurity and rely on school-based programs to meet their most basic needs.

Our school pantry and backpack project provide students with nutritious food, snacks, and personal care items to take home over weekends and school breaks.

These resources ensure that students return to school ready to learn, nourished, rested, and cared for. I am requesting support to restock our school pantry and backpack shelves with healthy, easy-to-prepare foods and essential hygiene items. This includes non-perishable food items, such as granola bars, pasta, rice, soup, and canned vegetables, as well as personal care items like toothpaste, deodorant, soap, and feminine hygiene products.

These supplies will go directly to students and families identified through our community, helping bridge the gap when resources are limited at home. Every contribution makes a tangible difference in our students’ well-being and sense of belonging.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
