My Project

I am so excited about the coming 2026-27 school year! I want to share an exciting opportunity to enhance my 7th grade classroom with Scholastic Scope magazines. My students are great readers but are at an age where it is not always popular to read. These magazines will provide engaging, higher-level texts that spark discussions and inspire deeper exploration of various subjects.

The Scholastic Scope offers a wealth of rich content, including compelling articles, thought-provoking stories, and interactive activities that cater to diverse interests and reading levels.

These magazines will serve as a springboard for ELA classroom discussions, encouraging students to think critically, express their opinions, and develop a love for reading.

There are many students who are multilingual learners and access to these invaluable resources will benefit them. This resource will enrich their language experiences and empower them to engage with the world around them in meaningful ways. Students who struggle with reading will also have engaging text which will interest them and help to improve their reading level.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
