This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My wonderful students are hard working earners with varying abilities. Their abilities are only a part of who they are, but they do not let these define them. With the help of our supportive parents, and teachers, our students overcome learning obstacles every single day.

In our resource room, we live by the motto: SEE THE ABLE NOT THE LABEL.

We are learning and growing every day in the the community of Coconut Grove. We currently share a classroom with three grade levels: Kinder-5th.

My Project

These materials will assist our students who struggle with sensory processing, self-regulation, and organization. The wobble cushions are an all time favorite in our classroom, and we are currently sharing only one so it will be great to have more to go around. Other items such as timers will be a great help to students struggling with self regulation. Items such as paper cutter, folders, laminating sheets, etc. go toward our classroom's organizational projects and task folders/task boxes/etc. Our classroom runs on visuals! These include visual schedules, task cards, cue cards, etc. and have been proven to really aid learning.
