Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our school is located in Napa, California in an area that has recently felt the impact of many natural disasters such as earthquakes and wildfires. In addition to that, many of our students are living in poverty, are migrant, and/or are new comers to the country. Nevertheless, the students have shown resiliency in their ability to overcome challenges and demonstrate an ever growing passion for learning.

My students are the epitome of 21st century, college and career ready learners , who are encouraged to use a variety of tools to engage their world.

Their unique perspectives, interests, abilities, and cultures, are integrated and celebrated! My students are motivated by hands-on, active, and engaging projects that tap into their unlimited potential for knowledge and growth!

My Project

These resources will help my students be successful in the classroom.

Students will be able to use the STEM challenge cards and the engineering design process to solve problems, the interactive math notebook covers all third grade math standards and provides a engaging way to take and review notes on concepts learned, whiteboards allow me to see exactly what they are doing, as well as provide an easy place for students to show and share their work, and the study carrels will help with focus and personal space.

All of the resources requested will help make the classroom a more engaging and productive environment for learning.
