Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work with students facing a variety of challenges at home or at school. The students I meet with learn positive coping strategies, social skills, and life skills. They master these skills through practice and play. Students at this school love hands on learning experiences.

My Project

The Covid-19 pandemic has placed added challenges on my students. Students who were struggling before the pandemic are now desperately in need of support. The items I have requested will help make my classroom a safe, comfortable, and welcoming learning environment in addition to providing needed resources to my students.

My students master social skills and emotional regulation through practice and role play.

The games requested will help students practice the skills they are learning in group settings and build rapport among the class. The books requested will provide discussion topics and help guide conversations among groups.
