My Students

I teach a group of very active, funny, dramatic and creative fifth graders. I have 70 students go through my classroom every day as the math teacher.

My students are the most creative, energetic and fun group of people to be around.

All of my students are at a variety of learning levels and learning styles. I am in the process of making my classroom an alternate seating classroom so my students can choose their seating preference. I believe that students learn best when they are comfortable and enjoy the space around them.

My Project

Due to the rise in COVID cases our school and teachers are constantly preparing for online learning. Not only do we teach students in the classroom but we have students online on a regular basis. Teaching in person and online requires many different formats that allow us to teach the same content in different ways.

Teachers Pay Teachers gift cards will allow me to give my students many different resources to use not only in the classroom but also for distance learning when students are quarantined.

It gives me more options are my fingertips and allows me to purchase resources for math that I would otherwise not be able to purchase to help teach my students. Teacher Pay Teacher gifts cards allows me to assign fun activities such as escape rooms that other teachers have already prepared for use on google classroom. Often times as teachers we do not have the time available to create many of these resources on our own, nor do we have the financial abilities to do so. Having the ability to purchase something that someone has already created not only saves time but it makes learning fun for my students.
