This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
I have the privilege of working with a highly diverse group of thoughtful and creative students. Our school is in the heart of Pittsburgh, where one-third of our population are emergent multilingual learners who represent eighteen countries and speak fourteen, different languages.
I am inspired everyday by my students’ willingness to take risks in order to grow personally and as global citizens.
I am their teacher, but my students have taught me many lessons through their patience, persistence, and innovation.
This project will help me provide additional resources for extra practice in reading, writing, listening and speaking for my multilingual students. I like the resources from Teachers-pay-Teachers because I can view what I am buying before I purchase it and it supports fellow educators.
