Each day my students engage in small group rotations to meet their individual needs as learners. Some options during our rotation time include teacher-led instruction, differentiated independent practice and a stop at a technology center (computers or listening). Each station is designed to meet the students where they are and move them forward in each domain (reading, speaking, listening and writing).
These materials will help my students become organized and focused learners! First graders love to wiggle while they work, the balance balls and stacking stools will provide them with a flexible space designed for movement and the opportunity to choose a working space that works best for them! The chair back buddy pocket charts are seat sacks that students will use to store their materials in all year. These will help the students build independence and become responsible for their own materials. Finally, the headphones will be used in our listening center and technology center during daily small group rotations to support fluency and comprehension.
My students are eager learners who will thrive when provided with a structure that encourages autonomy. I can't wait to see how these materials support student voice, choice and engagement! Thank you!
