My Project

Our students need to see themselves and their lived experience in books that they read. This project helps funds a collection for our school library about the social, emotional, and mental health of students. Especially after the last few years with pandemic learning and the outcomes we are seeing in the classroom related to social and emotional regulation and dysregulation. The book collection will be available to over 300 students in grades three- through five, the most impacted cohort of students. The wide range of titles and circumstance will ensure students can see themselves and their experiences represented in their reading choices.
