My Project
Mira Loma High School has two great events that focus on representation and social equity work; More Love, Less Hate Week, and The Black Renaissance Festival. Both events provide students with opportunities to make displays that focus on representation, booths that help provide equity on campus through discussions and festivals that advocate. The supplies I am asking for help put up displays that showcase history displays made by the students that are for underserved populations on our campus: LGTBQ+ students, Native American Students, and Black/African American Students. These interactive events so so far to help students be seen and the supplies we are asking for (flags, posters, signs, international relics etc) are all tools the students will use during these events. The Black Student Union, Pride Club, Latinos Unidos as well as other cultural clubs will be involved in these events.
