Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are in an area that is listed as critical needs which needs no explanation. That only describes the area because my students are full of energy and very adaptable to their adverse conditions. My students ask for nothing and deserve everything that you can help me obtain for them. I think they are the most deserving students at this school.

My students do not allow their challenges to deter them from exploring new ideas or learning new information.

Instead, their differences and diverse needs are embraced which has created an engaging, challenging, and welcoming learning environment within the classroom.

My Project

My students eat free breakfast and lunch at school, but they would greatly benefit from a healthy afternoon snack. Depending on parents' schedules, some of my students are home alone in the afternoon with nothing to eat until someone comes home.

Some students don't get home for dinner until late in the evening, and having a healthy snack to take home will help bridge the gap between meals because children need healthy snacks to keep their bodies fueled with energy.

My first project really was a help in enabling my students to have snacks through the week and also to have a snack bag to take home on Fridays. With careful planning and school breaks, we will be able to make these snacks go far. Your donation toward our project will be greatly appreciated.
