This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love watching my students let their imaginations run wild and tap into their creative side. I always encourage my students to try new materials, take risks, and step out of their comfort zones while they are exploring each assignment in class. Seeing students go through the artistic process of first brainstorming an idea and then following through to make art is such a wonderful thing to experience as a teacher.
The art room is an extremely hands on environment and after several years and several hundred students later certain items need to be replaced so students can have the creative tools they need to be successful.
My very first Donor's Choose project was for light tables and after many years of love and use they unfortunately need to be replaced. Other items on this list will help me display their artwork for other students, parents, and teachers to enjoy and other items will help keep the art room more organized so students can have a better experience.
