This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our first grade classroom is full of imagination, laughter, and excitement. We are a very fun and energetic class that learns Spanish through reading, working on wonderful science and social studies projects, creating our own fiction and non-fiction texts, and many other interesting activities!

This is my sixth year teaching in the USA, and I am honored to teach a group of wonderful first graders.

My students spend half of their day learning first grade subjects in Spanish as part of the dual immersion program at our school. There are 44 children, aged 6 and 7, who are simultaneously learning core subjects in English and in Spanish. They all love learning through our projects!

My Project

This is a mix and match project. I'm requesting different things that need to be replaced in our classroom. We need a new group organizer, some morning routine cards, a couple materials to add to our calm down bucket and some dry erase pocket sheets.

Updating the classroom and keeping materials neat and new help my students learn in a clean and cozy environment.

Little brains need a stimulating and welcoming space to be able to grow and learn!

We are very excited for all these new materials that we will add to our awesome class!
