This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have great students, however, they don't know a lot about current events nationally or globally. They receive most of their news via Tik Tok, or other social media platforms. These students will be going into our communities soon, and I would like them to be able to make informed decisions.

Upfront magazine provides articles that address national and world news in a way that makes it interesting for high school students.

They also provide a variety of learning resources. I want my students to become "informed citizens" as they enter an era of young adulthood.
