This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting a Bean bag for my students so that they can have the opportunity to comfortably relax during their down time. The ability to find a comfortable place to sit and relax is one of the small joys in life.

In addition to relaxing on a Bean Bag, students with disabilities will have the added benefit of being able to comfortably socialize with their classmates.

This relaxing time will give special education students to opportunity to make new friends and establish and maintain friendships. Unfortunately, this is an area where many of my students struggle.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
