My students need a story time carpet that they can sit on when we do circle time or share stories as a class.

I teach in a low income poverty level area in Ohio, however, my students are no different than any other first graders.

They are energetic, fun loving, and inquisitive. Each day they look forward to coming to school. I do my best to give them the quality education they deserve!

My Project

I am requesting a reading carpet that will allow my students to be comfortable during classroom instruction and reading time. My students love to read and I have built a large library for them. The school that I teach in is an old school and has limited resources so I have to look elsewhere or spend my own money. I have been trying to save to buy this reading carpet, but as a first year teacher there are too many other items in the budget at this time. I know the students would appreciate it if we were blessed to receive this carpet!

This project is extremely important to me because I have already asked the school to make this purchase, and they do not have the money at this time.

We would use this carpet on a daily basis and it would last for several years. I know the students would be excited about it because they would each have their own space to sit, it would be much more comfortable than a hard wood floor. I want the best quality education for my students which means giving them the best resources and materials. Thanks!
