it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students in the Passport Program are learning valuable job skills through our Tiger Cafe. This student-run coffee shop is not only a place for them to practice culinary, customer service, and financial management skills but also serves as an essential part of their transition to independent living.
The cafe is an opportunity for them to gain real-world experience that will support their future employment goals.
To enhance our Tiger Cafe and provide students with more opportunities to learn and grow, I’m requesting a Ninja Slushi Maker. This appliance will allow students to make refreshing slushies, giving them a fun and engaging way to learn about food preparation, inventory management, and customer service. The Ninja Slushi Maker is easy to use and will encourage teamwork as students work together to serve new, exciting products. It will also introduce them to the concept of offering a variety of menu items, helping to expand their skills in managing a diverse business.
This project will provide my students with hands-on experience that goes beyond the basics of making coffee. It will help them develop new skills related to food preparation, customer interaction, and teamwork, all of which are crucial for future employment. The Ninja Slushi Maker will also boost the cafe's offerings, making it an even more inviting space for students and staff alike. With your help, we can continue to create a learning environment that empowers students to succeed in life and work.
