My students are an eager and positive group of learners that come from a wide range of backgrounds with a wide range of abilities. We like to work hard, laugh, and stretch our minds, and I'm always looking for new ways to push their thinking.
The diversity in their strengths and interests make for a rewarding school day and really keeps me on my toes.
Their energy and enthusiasm motivate me to make this their most rewarding and successful school year yet.
My Project
Over the school year, I make it a point to expose my kids to many of the great new books that come out each month. But sometimes readers just want the comfort of an old favorite. Alas, well-loved books from previous years have a tendency to disappear. It's hard to hook kids on a great series when you only have books 3 and 7.
This project was built to address gaps in our classroom library and to round out the series that kids are clamoring for right now.
By providing my students with the books they want now, their reading will be pushed to even greater heights.
