My Project

Ask most elementary school students about their favorite part of school, and nearly all will report they enjoy recess the most. It's a chance to talk with friends, move their bodies, and have a little free choice for a small part of their day. Who doesn't enjoy the excitement of playing four square, the exhilaration of dribbling a soccer ball, or the sense of accomplishment a well-executed jump rope trick can bring?

Elementary love recess as much as any other grade school students, but the recess equipment they use has seen better days. Technically I suppose it's still serviceable, but most of the playground balls are wearing through. Many are misshapen, and a few only hold air for a day or two. Most of the jump ropes are no better off. Quite a few have have chipped beads and about half are missing handles. And while we just opened a new patch of grass for the students to use during recess, we have no new soccer balls to use. The few we have in the PE shed suffer from the same condition as the playground balls.

Please help me refresh and restock the recess racks for the students of H. Elementary can enjoy new recess equipment. More and better equipment will mean smaller play groups and more turns for students at each recess game. New playground balls, soccer balls, jump ropes are just what we need to level up our recess racks. Please help me make it happen!
