My Project

The items in in this project are a combination of items that we love and use daily in addition to some new supplies that I found that we needed last year. The products that we use daily, such as the glue sticks and the dry erase markers, are used in both centers and large group learning. Students use dry erase boards every day to practice our phonics, spelling, and math facts. The Clorox Wipes and Kleenex we go through like crazy in first grade! Runny noses and messes are huge in first grade!

I was amazed at the LOVE for the items such as the Lite Bright items, Magna Tiles, and the sensory items.

These are items that the students really love when they need a break from big emotions and big expectations that we have for these little minds. These items will help the students calm down and check their emotions while the rest of the students remain focused and learning.

With this project I will be able to provide my students with the materials that they love and at the same time keep their interest in learning. The cereal dispenser is a new item that I am adding to my classroom because I found that many students are hungry throughout the day, breakfast and lunch that is provided is not enough. With the cereal dispensers I will be able to provide the students with a healthy snack that they may be able to get themselves when needed. I hope that this is a positive addition to my classroom.
