Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students need binders and colored paper to create reference binders.

We will use these binders daily as reference sheets for new concepts that we learn.

For example, when students practice rounding, they will find the page that shows how to round to the nearest ten and hundred. When they learn various ways to multiply, they will find the reference page on multiplication, which shows how to multiply using arrays, equal groups, tape diagrams, skip counting and fact families. When they learn to subtract with regrouping, they will turn to the page that shows them how to do this.
