Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

If we are going to challenge our students to practice the 3 R's of sustainability we need to also provide examples of how to practice that in the classroom. We cannot continue as always with the same amount of paper and pencil waste as before. Using the computer and digital copies help, but providing students with personal whiteboards, markers, and erasers will allow for interactive and instant feedback for many in class assignments. Simply providing recycling bins will give students an opportunity to recycle their bottles and canned drinks.

In class practice of the three R's of sustainability will not only engage students to be part of this important environmental effort, but it will also become a natural option and lifestyle.

By making a donation you can help 5 classes of students and 1 service club of 40 students make better choices for our planet while at school. This sustainable practice can be multiplied so many times over as they continue these practices beyond the classroom.
