Help me give my students a Macbook Air laptop and Classic Mini Retro Game Console with Built-in 620 Games and 2 Classic Controllers, AV Output Video Games for Kids.
The students at my school have so little and I want to give them so much more. All of the students here come from homes below the poverty line, and I want them to have the chance to experience something that can influence their lives.
These students also do not have the luxury or privilege of having a gym membership to help keep themselves in shape.
Sadly, our school also does not have the weights or equipment to satisfy this need. They have a very bleak outlook on what life has to offer them and need to know they can make a difference in their lives with the power of education.
Our students have so very little and this donation will allow them to be able to compete with students of a different demographic. Our kids are so special that even without the resources, they still work just as hard or harder to try and rise to the occasion. I love the fact that our kids already know the odds are stacked against them, but they face adversity head-on!
My Project
I'm requesting the Macbook Laptop and the Nintendo video game console to help our students when they return to school. To help relieve the stress and anxiety of being at home during the pandemic, the goal is for students to have an after school program that will help sustain their social interactions along with using the Macbook to help with research, get tutoring and to complete work as they may not have the working technology at home. These electronics are to track the students learning and will be used by each individual class upon the schools reopening.
As the anxiety of our children increases during the pandemic, finding a way to help them cope and give them a sense of normalcy during the most difficult time of their lives is of utmost importance.
