As a physical education teacher, my job is to educate my students in ALL aspects of sports and fitness. One of the ways I do that is to work with them on calculating BMI, looking at stats on professional sports players and creating "dream teams", and looking at how to improve their swings in baseball by using simple physics formulas. All of this is really part and parcel to the physical education curriculum in my classes, but it's incredibly difficult to work these things out on pencil and paper. I want to help improve my students' quality of life through fitness. In order to accomplish that, my students need access to a high quality computer that is capable of running software to assist them in making the calculations necessary for fitness class. A MacBook Pro is the perfect tool for doing just that. Not only will it help my students in fitness/statistical analysis, it will be put to use during the after school program where my some of my students work individually on their fitness plans. They will be able to track and monitor all kinds of important information as they learn to be their best selves both mentally and physically.
