This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
LCD tablets are a fun learning tool to use in any classroom. Many of my students struggle with fine motor skills; especially, in the area of correct letter formation. With these LCD tablets, my students can practice writing letters, words and sentences. They can practice math facts, counting and showing their thinking when solving word problems. LCD tablets offer students a different form in which to express themselves through drawing & creativity.
LCD tablets reduce the amount of paper waste; the number of pencils used in a school year; as well as the cost of replacing dry erase markers for whiteboard usage.
Adding these LCD tablets to our classroom will allow students another way to communicate academically and creatively. These tablets can be used in whole group settings, small groups and one-to-one learning. For those students who struggle with producing written work, LCD tablets are a motivating tool, as well. The zippered storage pouches will keep the LCD tablets organized and safe. Having storage pouches will encourage student responsibility in preserving the quality of their tablet; hopefully, retaining the LCD tablets for many classes to follow.
