This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are in three groups, I am teaching Physics Chemistry and Environmental Science, based on students’ mathematical ability.

My students are all extraordinary kids!

Most of these students reside in urban area which is mostly underfunded and, in some areas, lacking even the most basic of needs. Although many of them come from tough neighborhoods and lifestyles, they are strong, smart, and full of life. These are the scientists of tomorrow.

These kids are the kinds of kids that inspire innovation. They are the example that leaders should be following and the hope that will fuel the future.

My Project

Now after the pandemic all my students spend their time fixing their eyes on a small Chromebook or iPhone.

I want to add a printer and a speaker in my classroom which will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that I strive to create.

My classroom is a place where my students explore new information using their Chromebook and create their own notes and study material collecting information from multiple online sources .

With the new printed notes, my students will be able to choose from a variety of resources and create their own study materials that will allow them to read independently at their own pace and grade level without using the computer screen.

This will help them to reduce screen time and create a habit of reading from printed material instead of reading from screen always.

They will also be able to choose items that interest them and get a printout instantly. The best way to increase reading ability is to read more, and these printed materials will continue to help my students grow stronger in reading. My students already have shown an astonishing interest in independent reading, and this project will only help enrich their experiences with the printed word.

I need a speaker so that students will be able to share their online findings to whole classroom directly from their laptop or phone and everyone in class will be able to hear it .

I already have a black and white printer and need cartridges for that and I want a colored printer to provide some colorful study materials to my students to read at home.

Few pages of printed study material is also easy to handle instead of heavy books or laptop.

My school has enough resources to provide enough printing papers.
