Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The materials will be used to teach the students the importance of keeping our planet clean and bring recycling to our classroom. Currently we do not recycle in the classroom and it is sad when the student learns about the importance of reducing waste, reusing material and recycling.
We currently do not have recycle bins in the classroom so the students are unable to practice what the students are learning in class.
Our yard where the students play often has litter and we would like to allow students to take pride and responsibility for their area, so the brooms, gloves and trashcan will be used doing our outdoor play time for students to help keep area tidy. The other books and toys will be used during center time to reinforce learning.
