Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My school has worked hard to achieve Green School status with different projects. The students have participated in many activities over the last few years to help us achieve that award. Our main project is learning how to recycle, reuse, and reduce the amount of waste we produce at the school.

Help me give my students an opportunity to participate in the recycling program with a recycling bin in every classroom.

The older students have created a Green Team and try to make sure that every classroom has a recycling bin. We would like to put a recycling bin in every classroom and office in the school.

In addition, we conduct trash and recycling pick up events in the school yard. The older students partner with the younger students to pick up the materials. We will use the gloves with the students while picking up the trash and recycling materials.
