My Project

My students are smart and talented and love to learn about the world around them. They are especially curious and motivated to make a difference in the world.

New indoor and outdoor garbage cans, garbage grabbers, and garbage removal tools will help teach my students responsibility and help them to learn to care for the environment.

Students will first be taught about the issues in the environment that we have with garbage. They will use the pick up grabbers and will learn to collect garbage such as items in and around the school and place and sort them in the new school garbage bins. The garbage liners are made for the bins to keep them clean. The bins will be marked for regular garbage and recyclable garbage. These bins are smaller so that students can lift them easily to give the items to adults who can recycle them. The grabbers will be stored in the plastic totes. A rolling cart will help students to be able to get the items from the bins out to the recycle and garbage and recycle pick up areas.

Having the tools we need and promotional items to help students support and learn about how to protect and to care for the environment is key to helping support them. Students will continue learning as they experience caring for the environment and making an impact of their own on the school grounds.
