My Students

My school is filled with bright colors, beautiful gardens, and smiling faces. The students come together as a community to help one another out and bring vibrant life to the school. In music class, they are eager to show off their talents and sing for one another. They are learning how to express themselves creatively.

The students are working to persevere through tough situations.

In music, this means to practice, slow things down, and work as a team to solve the problem at hand. The students have been working together to read music, play recorder, practice rhythms, and sing out in the community. My students have a love for learning new things and achieving new goals.

My Project

This year my students have been missing a tradition that they have been looking forward to at my school since the first grade. Every year the third graders learn to play the recorder. This year with school being remote the students were not able to purchase and receive the recorders. They have been begging me to start this program and I just have to find a way.

Your donations will help students get a recorder that will be able to go home with them.

By learning the recorder the students will be learning to read music, hand-eye coordination, patience, persistence, and grace. They are missing a huge part of the music curriculum without being able to have pitched instruments in their hands.
