Help me give my students washable sidewalk chalk to use during outside recess to decorate our playground hard surfaces. For inside recess we want More Than Peach colored pencils and copy paper for creative drawing.

My Project

My students love to decorate our school, both inside and outside. I love channeling their creativity by bringing sidewalk chalk outside for recess so they can decorate our hard surfaces.

Whenever I bring buckets of sidewalk chalk outside, students in all grade flock to the area to design their amazing and creative drawings on our blacktop and our concrete track!

It is delightful viewing their artwork - and when the designs are washed away the students ask to create more new drawings. I want to restock our sidewalk chalk so more drawings can appear throughout our spring quarter.

When we have inclement weather, students stay in the classroom. They love creating drawings during recess and find this pursuit very relaxing.
