My Project

My students are coming from all different backgrounds. Scholastic News Magazines bring real world experiences into the classroom in an interesting and informative way. My students will be able to build background knowledge, including important economics in our Social Studies standards, vocabulary, and their fluency skills by reading Scholastic Magazines. These skills are so important for their future reading comprehension, as well as general knowledge.

The Scholastic Magazines give my students news and introduce them to topics that they may not have heard of before.

This helps students see the value in nonfiction reading and gives them opportunities to learn and grow.

This project will directly impact historically underfunded classrooms.
