My Students

My students are very ambitious, sweet, people-pleasing sponges. Our county has students from all different socio-economic backgrounds. At their age, they are absorbing behaviors and habits from everyone around them.

As an English teacher, I want to show my students that they can escape where they are and travel to a totally different place through books.

Exposing them to different types of literature gives them the opportunity to explore worlds that they may not get to experience in their lifetime otherwise.

My Project

My school is located in a low income area. We have a large push to incorporate technology in our classrooms, but unfortunately, our resources are scarce at times.

Having a Microsoft Surface Go specifically for our classroom would help me give my students more interactive, technology driven lessons.

The Microsoft Surface Go would play many roles in the classroom, from allowing me to create interactive lessons, to giving students a way to take AR tests to achieve their own goals, to even assisting my students with accommodations in completing their assignments.

This resource could be a game-changer in the way my students view learning, and in the way they view school all together!
