Help me give my students hands-on materials, such as the Bee-Bot Robot and STEM kits, that will inspire them to build their math, science, literature, and technology skills.
I have 21 kindergarten students who come to school eager and ready to learn each day. In my full day kindergarten classroom, I strive to make learning fun and engaging for my students.
My students learn best when they are working with hands-on manipulatives in my classroom.
In fact, when they are building, manipulating, and creating they don’t even realize that they are learning! I want to pair more of my instruction with hands on manipulatives so students can better develop their STEM skills.
My Project
In my classroom, students practice their literacy, math, science, and technology skills, but the STEM kits for this project will help me combine these skills into one engaging project-based learning experience for my students. In kindergarten, we especially love reading fairy tales and the Fairy Tales Problem Solving STEM kit would help my unit on fairy tales become more interactive; it will allow my students to build and solve the problems from the stories.
STEM projects provide students opportunities to problem solve, work together, and learn to think in new ways.
My students will especially develop their thinking when using the Bee-Bot robot and the building bricks kits to create and navigate paths and mazes we set up in the classroom.
