This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every year my students challenge me to work harder, and so I must also do the same for them. I teach students that are very inquisitive and want to know about everything. They are bright and enjoy learning through discovering. They want to know the "whys" of things, not just the hows.
“Children need the freedom to appreciate the infinite resources of their hands, their eyes and their ears, the resources of forms, sounds, materials, and colours.” Loris Malaguzzi
All of my students come from families that work very hard to overcome economic obstacles. These families are immigrants and lack the language. Most students in our school are on free or reduce lunch. Although many of these families lack financial resources, they are willing and determined to help their children reach their full potential
My Project
We will use the photo printer to create projects in the class. We can take pictures of what we are doing and write about them.
They say a picture is worth a million words.
My students can take pictures in school and create posters and powerpoints. We can also create a collage of all of our science experiments in school.
Using this tool our students will learn to be expressive, to see things from different perspectives, and learn how to incorporate different types of mediums in their work. It is important for students to see that a picture can help you with details.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
