I need help funding this amazing experience! The Pathfinders Summer Institute will allow me the opportunity to learn more about robotics and how to apply it in the primary classroom.
I have been a kindergarten teacher in two very unique and diverse schools for a total of 6 years. I have my undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and my masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I am absolutely dedicated and passionate about what I do and could not imagine doing anything else.
Each year I am gifted with a new group of tiny humans who come to me with varying levels of education and a vast array of personal needs.
In my classroom, every student is valued and loved for being exactly who they are. Teaching kindergarten in a Title I school has its challenges but my students and I face each day with an open mind and an open heart.
My Project
Computer science and computational thinking are two of the most important skills I will be gaining at this conference. In gaining these skills, I will be able to better prepare my kids for the world we live in.
Learning to Code will open doors for my students down the road!
It will give them a strong foundation and the tools they need to be technologically successful. They will have opportunities to safely explore our world and learn how and why things work the way they do. They will learn how to plan and problem-solve and how to naturally apply it to their lives.
