My Students

Our classroom community involves about 20 students who have already expressed an interest in reading. I am excited to dive into a new school year with this enthusiastic group of learners.

I am a third-year teacher who is beginning my journey in a new grade level this year.

I am in the process of finding resources and tools that will accommodate my very diverse group of learners. I look forward to finding new and creative ways to engage their learning, excitement for reading, and providing an atmosphere where every child is successful.

My Project

My goal with "Ready, Set, READ!" is to provide opportunities for students to access enjoyable books in my classroom and to engage readers that may be reluctant to pick up a book.

All of the books I am requesting for my students will help engage and inspire them to read.

I am changing grade levels this year to second grade and my library needs a facelift to support my beginning readers. Including a variety of genres will target the wide range of interest and reading levels and will make reading available to all of my students.

"Ready, Set, READ!" will provide the excitement and imagination that comes along with getting lost in a good book.
