Mrs. Harrison from Washington DC is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
My students need access to Chromebooks inside of our classroom so that during work stations they can rotate to a technology station during the literacy and math blocks. Chromebooks will also help aide math testing.

My school is in a very urban community, a lot of my students come from low income families and school is a safe place for them to receive not only an education but also meals and love. We are in need of some updated technology so that it can be integrated into our daily lessons, I know my students will be TRULY appreciative of any materials we receive. My students work hard and even though it's the beginning of the school year I can already tell I have a great bunch of eager students.
Chromebooks will make a world of difference inside of our classroom. Not only will our students appreciate the technology materials for some students this will be their only time they get to explore on a computer.
All of my students will get to have access to a variety of online literacy and math activities which will give them a boost and extra practice in both of these important areas.
With this new technology my scholars will have access to websites like lexia, abcya, and, abc mouse as I have created student accounts for them however everyone does not have technology in the home. Also scholars will be able to use the technology for for math websites like st math where they will get more practice with different math skills that are taught in class.
Also I have 4 ELL students in my classroom and they will have access to online materials that will help build their vocabulary. This will help them become more successful in literacy and access the curriculum much easier.
