My Project

My students are special in that they bring such a vibrant mix of curiosity, resilience, and collaborative spirit to our classroom. What I love most is their eagerness to learn and their diversity. My goal with this project is to foster a more engaging and interactive learning environment where students are active participants and to promote collaboration and peer learning, allowing students to learn from and support one another.

Help me give them the Lakeshore Giant Magnetic Regrouping Chart, Place Value Write & Wipe Boards, Scribbledo Double Sided Whiteboards, and Jefure Markers to make a significant difference in their learning by addressing various learning styles and needs:

Lakeshore Giant Magnetic Regrouping Chart: This will be a game-changer for my visual and kinesthetic learners. The act of physically manipulating the numbers will make the abstract concept of regrouping (borrowing and carrying) much more concrete and understandable. Students who struggle with place value will also benefit greatly from this hands-on approach. It will also allow students to work together, promoting peer learning.

Lakeshore Place Value Write & Wipe Boards/ JEFURE 72 Pcs Black Magnetic Dry Erase Markers: A solid understanding of place value is foundational for all future math learning. These boards will provide students with repeated practice, allowing them to internalize this critical concept. The write-and-wipe format allows for mistakes to be easily corrected, reducing math anxiety and encouraging students to persevere.

Scribbledo 10 Pack Double Sided Whiteboards: These whiteboards will transform our lessons into interactive and engaging experiences. Students can use them to practice math problems, explain their thinking, and work collaboratively. The lined side will be particularly helpful for my first grade students who are developing their handwriting skills. The whiteboards will also provide a quick and easy way for me to assess student understanding and provide immediate feedback.
