This year of 2020 has completely changed the way we teach! What initially started out as hybrid model where I would see my students every day (half in person for half a day/the other half online) quickly changed to Full distance learning for the first 4 weeks (with a possible extension to 1st quarter) Either way, due to COVID-19, there would be no sharing of materials. Therefore, my students are in need of their own sets of headphones for individual listening to ebooks, learning programs, or for home learning in households with multiple learners. They will need their own dry erase boards for individual frequent response, and math manipulatives for learning place value and money. Should we resume classes in person, they will still be able to use these materials individually. Additionally, I wish to be as effective as I can possibly be in this new learning environment, so I have also asked for two professional development books on the subjects of effective and interactive distance learning.
