Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our class is full of diverse learners. From academics to personal interests, these students speak and have their own minds. We work hard on creating a community where students focus on spreading kindness and growing in all areas of their lives.
We are a 1st Grade, SPED inclusion classroom in a Title I school from Georgia.
While my students may have many different interest and needs, they have one thing in common. They love to learn and be at school.
My Project
Students enjoy learning through play. Incorporating games into all subject areas helps students stay engaged with lessons. Games also help students work on collaboration and communicating effectively with each other. Hands on learning can help students with motor skills as well.
Osmo is a great blend of technology and hands on learning, bringing the best of both worlds.
In a technological ear, Osmo allows students to work with technology to improve their spatial awareness while manipulating hands on tools. Osmo also reinforces many subject areas especially, math and STEM through instructive games. Help our class achieve it's goal of an independent Osmo station where students can play and learn together.
