Just like learning styles, students have different seating preferences. In my room, we have stability balls, lowered tables with cushions, and chairs. These provide students a choice of what type of seating will benefit them while the work to help increase their productivity. Flexible seating has been shown to have many benefits including; increased student scores, creating more engaged learners, and providing a relaxed environment for learners, to mention a few. My goal is to give my class multiple options to fits their seating needs. These stools will provide students who need to move while working the ability to "wobble" while they work. The wobble stools will help round out our class seating options, providing my students with a class setup as diverse as they are.
