Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I believe all students should have access to the resources that will allow them to be successful in and out of the classroom. With the limited funding that many school districts face, our kids can often miss out on certain learning tools and opportunities. As teachers, we try to do our best to fill in the missing pieces.
My 4th graders are enthusiastic and inquisitive learners who enjoy new and exciting ways to gain knowledge.
Their diverse personalities, learning styles, and cultural backgrounds create a unique atmosphere within our classroom walls. My goal is for all of my students to reach their full potential across all academic areas. The foundation for success starts now.
My Project
My 4th graders and I are so excited to start reading "Shiloh", our first read aloud chapter book! Due to remote learning last year, we need to replace our class set of books that were distributed to students' homes so that they could participate in reading lessons virtually. Shiloh has been a "fan favorite" for all of my 4th grade classes, and I would like this year's students to experience that same joy and engagement in learning (especially since we are back to learning in-person). Reading is much easier to do when children enjoy the books that they are reading!
