My Project

We have football fever here at school! We recently added several new football books and some basketball and soccer books to our collection. They are always checked out. And if they are checked out, that means they are being read. I've had students tell me they've read the books 2-3 times already and they want more teams and biographies to read.

Getting kids excited by reading is a big part of being a librarian.

I have kids coming into the library every open library to get more sports books, and they are telling their friends. This means students are improving their literacy and comprehension skills and developing a love of reading.
