My Students

My students are all unique and creative students. They are energetic and very interested in using and exploring new things. All of my students are from low income families and face challenges and struggles every day. When they are in school they are excited to be here and ready to be exposed to different and new things.

My students are very engaged in their learning.

Most of them enjoy hands on learning! They love to be able to experience their learning physically and not just through teacher presentation. Each of my students love to take lead in new topics, whether its relating their pass experiences or just adding to a conversation. They are not afraid to speak their minds and talk about how a topic relates to them personally.

My students are also very caring and helpful to one another. They are quick to help the teacher or another student with any task. They understand that everyone has their own strength and at times they may need help in other areas. Our classroom sets a warm, welcoming, and closeness environment which makes it enjoyable for my students and I to come to school everyday!

My Project

Many students are not quite ready to end summer and start school. Many parents are not able to give students the supplies and tools they need to start their new school year. These tools will provide my students with the BEST "Jump Start" of their 1st grade experience! Students will be able to fully engage in and participate in their own learning from the very first day! Students will not have to carry the burden of feeling like they are not prepared for school and focus more on enjoying the new school year! It's not always a easy transition, but, with having the tools and supplies that are needed at the beginning of every school year, students will feel more motivated and excited to start their new journey!
