Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need to be organized as they begin the 2024-2025 school year. School supply boxes will hold their basic supplies like crayons and pencils. Various sizes of Ziploc bags will be used for their change of clothing, snacks, books and various other items. The trays will be used to organize items for art projects and for Play-Doh.

Part of the day is learning to be independent and being able to bring your supplies to your work space.

They will learn to be responsible for their supplies in their supply box. We need the trays to keep their art supplies in their work area. The various sizes of Ziploc bags are to organize other items like their change of clothes, snacks, small counting objects and more. When they are organized and can find their materials they are successful. We use so many bags for so many things throughout the year. They are really handy to have when we prepare an art or math activity.

I see how being organized on the first day of school makes a difference for our youngest learners. When they can find their materials they are less frustrated and eager to learn.
