Reading Trackers to the Rescue!

My students need 210 reading trackers to encourage them to stay focused on their literacy development.

TRACK OUR READING! With over 300 third, fourth, and fifth grade students at our school, we welcome a diverse array of people into our classrooms daily. Over 40% of our students are on free or reduced lunch; many of our children come from impoverished families where practicing reading is the least of their worries. With hundreds of bright ESOL students speaking Spanish, Russian, Vietnamese, Korean, German, and other languages at home, many of our youth cannot get the extra English language practice they need and crave outside of school. We also have special needs students and students working hard to stay focused because of ADHD and ADD who would greatly benefit from these resources.

Our school is in desperate need of reading trackers, little literacy devices that highlight the line a student is reading. I currently have 2 of these reading trackers in my classroom, and while all my students want to use them, there just aren't enough. Because I see how well they work engaging my students in their reading in my classroom, I am asking not just for a set for my students, but for all the struggling students in the third through fifth grades.

When you buy 210 little reading trackers for our students, you will make a BIG difference! The same size as a bookmark, these trackers will help our students stay focused on the exact line that they are reading. Playing with a new toy always makes things more fun, and reading with these new tools will encourage students to engage in their learning.

With your help, hundreds of students will enthusiastically leap into their literacy learning each year. Eleven classrooms of students and their teachers thank you for your support!
