We love participating in the Global Read Aloud every year. It is a great way to spread the love of reading. Students can share with their peers as well as with 6th graders in a middle school. We are always looking for ways to collaborate and build relationships. If we can do that over a book, then it is a win-win for everyone.
Sharing a book is a great way to build empathetic and compassionate learners.
I look forward to this event every year. Thank you for making this happen for my students. Last year, students said it was the highlight of their day when they got to read with peers and talk with a 6th grader.
